Policies & Terms

Schmick Live Music

Live Music Booking Agency – Australia

Last updated:19/09/2026

These policies apply to all ticket purchases made through Schmick Live Music for live music events in Australia. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms.

We aim to be fair and transparent. Nothing in these policies excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Ticket Sales

  • All ticket sales are final once payment is completed.
  • Tickets are sold subject to the terms of the specific event and venue.
  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.
  • Booking or transaction fees (if charged) are not refundable as these are platform & bank fees, which are none refundable to us & beyond our control.

2. Refund Policy

Standard position

Tickets are non-refundable if you change your mind, can no longer attend, or for personal reasons (illness, travel issues, etc.), unless required by Australian Consumer Law or specifically stated otherwise for that event.

If you transfer your tickets, this null and voids any refunds for any reasons.

When you are entitled to a refund

You are entitled to a full refund of the ticket price (and any applicable booking fees we control) in the following situations:

  • The event is cancelled by the promoter or organiser and not rescheduled.
  • The event is significantly changed in a way that substantially alters what you paid for (examples include a major change of headline artist, a significant change of date or city, or a material change to the nature of the event).
  • The event cannot be delivered as advertised due to the organiser’s actions.
Rescheduled events

If an event is postponed or rescheduled:

  • Your ticket will normally remain valid for the new date.
  • We will notify you and give you a reasonable period (usually 10 days) to request a refund if you cannot attend the new date.
  • If you do not request a refund by the stated deadline, your ticket will be treated as valid for the rescheduled event.
How to request a refund

Email us at mick@schmicklivemusic.com with your order number, full name, and reason for the request. We will respond as quickly as possible and process approved refunds to the original payment method.

Important notes
  • Refunds for events cancelled or significantly changed due to circumstances outside the organiser’s control (e.g. government directives, natural disasters) will be handled according to the specific event terms and Australian Consumer Law.
  • We do not automatically refund for support act changes, minor program adjustments, or temporary technical issues that are resolved.
  • Consequential losses (travel, accommodation, etc.) are generally the responsibility of the ticket holder unless required by law.

3. Ticket Transfers & Resale

  • Tickets may usually be transferred to another person unless the event terms say otherwise.
  • Resale of tickets above face value may be restricted by state laws (particularly in NSW and Victoria for certain events). We reserve the right to cancel tickets sold in breach of anti-scalping laws without refund.
  • We recommend using reputable secondary platforms where available.

4. Event Changes & Cancellations

The promoter/organiser reserves the right to:

  • Make reasonable changes to the line-up, support acts, running order, or program.
  • Change the venue (within the same city) if necessary.
  • Cancel or reschedule the event.

We will notify ticket holders of material changes as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details provided at purchase.

5. Entry Conditions

  • A valid ticket is required for entry.
  • The venue and organiser reserve the right to refuse entry or remove patrons for safety, security, or behavioural reasons.
  • Latecomers may be admitted only at a suitable break in the performance, at the venue’s discretion.
  • Proof of age or concession entitlement must be provided on request.
  • Venue house rules (including any bag checks, prohibited items, or other requirements current at the time of the event) apply.

6. Lost or Damaged Tickets

Contact us as soon as possible. We may reissue tickets at our discretion (a small fee may apply). Original tickets will be cancelled.

7. Privacy

We collect personal information only as needed to process your booking and communicate important event updates. See our full Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Schmick Live Music is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from attendance at an event, except where required by Australian Consumer Law. Your ticket is a licence to attend the event and may be revoked for breach of these terms.
